Event Listing Submissions

Use the form below to submit listings for the FreePint Events page.

Note the following guidelines:

  • Check the event isn't already listed in FreePint Events.

  • Events must be primarily concerned with the information industry, Internet, intranets, ecommerce, knowledge management and related subjects.

  • We reserve the right not to list an event, especially if it is a commercial training session. Advertising can be purchased for such events, with details on the Page for Advertisers.

  • For online events, choose '-Online-' at the top of the 'Country' pull-down list

Basic listings are free, or you can purchase an 'Enhanced Listing' for significant additional exposure.

  • Highlight: The listing is highlighted on the FreePint Events page

  • Graphic: Event graphic (234x60 pixels) shown on the events page and in the HTML and PDF versions of the FreePint Newsletter

  • Description: Full description on the FreePint Events page (200 words instead of 40)

  • Price: £95 (plus VAT for UK customers)

What is FUMSI?

Find Use Manage Share Information = FUMSI

FUMSIInformation is part of everyone's job, whether or not they consider themselves 'information professionals'. Select the category (Find, Use, Manage or Share) that most closely matches how your event will help participants with their information skills. Your event will then be:

  • Featured in that practice area of the FUMSI website at www.FUMSI.com, where readers access tips and articles to help them with their work

  • Appear in the appropriate section of the FUMSI Magazine, alerting subscribers to the value of your event.

Selecting a Category

Use the following quick reference to select your category. For more detailed information, on the scope of each practice area, visit http://www.fumsi.com/how/

  • Find: Search and research
  • Use: Analyse and advise
  • Manage: Organise, store and retrieve
  • Share: Communicate, train and teach

Not Sure Which Category Applies?

  • Select the 'best match'. Rarely does an event cover solely one FUMSI category. Select the one that's the closest match.

  • Ask for help. We'll review your submission and suggest which category we think fits best.

  • Omit the category. Your event will still appear in the FreePint Events database and in the FreePint Newsletter, but not on FUMSI.
