| At my wit's end - monitor problem |

Hope someone can help me as this is driving me bloody mad.
Every half hour or so my NEC MultiSync FE700 17" monitor makes a 'snap' sound and switches off. I have to restart the computer, and invariably lose my work. (Rarely it 'snaps' back on and I can continue.)
I have checked the power management option in Control Panel, and even uninstalled some software like Norton Utilities on the advice of my IT colleagues. Hasn't helped.
I really don't want to see if my computer can fly from the 7th floor so, please, any suggestions would be very welcome - especially if someone has suffered this problem and resolved it by troubleshooting the error to a particular piece of software I might have on my machine.
Thanks again,
John. |
