Can anyone suggest any good packages to start with ie fairly user friendly and if possible not too expemsive. Are there any free down loads available even for a trial period?

If anyone is looking for theor Scottish ancestry on the web the General Registry in Scotland www.open.gov.uk/gros/groshome.htm is a good place to start.

Thanks in advance

David Taylor
