I'm looking for sources that give practical advice on how to conduct an "information audit" (alternative term might be "information needs assessment").
So far I am aware of two sources that cover this:
1) "How to Conduct an Information Audit". Published in the Sept. 1997 Knowledge Management supplement to The Information Advisor (FIND/SVP publications)
2) "Information Audit". A book (pamphlet?) published by the Special Libraries Association in 1995.
I haven't yet read either of these sources, and would be interested in hearing opinions about either/both from those who have seen them.
If you are aware of any other sources that deal with this topic (book/book chapter, article, or web page), I would appreciate a citation.
