The leaving employee - Effective knowledge transfe

Hello

I have been assigned the challenging task of researching and recommending effective knowledge transfer and retention strategies for when senior employees (or any employees for that matter) retire or leave our organisation.

While I have found quite a bit of general information, industry best practice on specific techniques and how to implement them is proving to be challenging to find (at no cost that is). At this point, I haven't been allocated a budget to purchase this information or expertise; we are looking to develop and implement the strategies in house and not employ a third party.

Any ideas, thoughts, or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
Rebecca
