 Sage and Working from Home

Dear Freepinters,

Our bookkeeper works from home and connects to the office network via BT's Home Highway (her end) and Office Highway (our end) so that she can work on the Sage Line 100 accounts package. So far we have managed to enable her to work 'live' on line but this is proving expensive (i.e. whilst she is working she is making a very long telephone call).

The people who advise us on hardware and software tell us that it IS possible for her to work offline and to 'upload' her 'Sage-work' in batches but they do not advise this because the batches might get corrupted.

To me it sounds a little ridiculous that she has to be connected all the time - Do any Freepinters have any experience of such situations or any advice to offer, please?

Thanks in anticipation,

Chris Davis
