Hi, I just wondered if anybody could offer me some advice. I would like to become a Library Assistant, with the aim of eventually training to become a fully qualified Librarian. I have a degree in communications and experience in administration and customer service. But I have a problem, or two I guess. I have a large gap in my work history due to personal problems and second I have no previous experience of working in a library. I am applying for both jobs and work placements, but no luck so far. Is there any advice or information anyone let me know? Anything would be helpful. Thanks.

Tony
