Mortgage Rate Trends in the UK

Hi all,

I'm sure this has been covered before at the bar. I am looking for either one (or both) of following

a) A service to which I can subscribe via email that will keep me updated with the current Base Interest rate for the UK. Along with any relevant RPI information.

b) A website which I can surf to regularly with current Interest rate information and if possible have some kind of trend analysis figures over the past few years (up to 50).

I do not require this for business, rather am investing in a large mortage (for a private home) and wish to get a good idea of trends over the years, to be able to hopefully predict rate increases/decreases to reduce the potential risk involved in this investment.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Kind Regards,

Dave J Phillips
