I know this question is slightly off on a tangent (PC rather than web), but I'm the end of the road on trying to find a reference (any reference) on a statistic I have heard and want to use in a paper I'm writing to my Exec. The questions is:
Does anyone know of any statistic that gives a 'good practice' ratio of IT support staff to non-tech staff? I have heard that it is 1 to 40 but I cannot find a reference to this anywhere.

I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can provide

Thank you
