Now that the hype has calmed down, I would like to learn more about how people are using peer-to-peer searching, distributed search or metasearch within their institutions.

I am interested in librarians' experience with Z39.50 and anything else that can enlighten me on the actual benefits and costs of distributed search.

I will present the results of my research at the Infonortics Search Engines Meeting (San Francisco) in April, and will post my slides and put a link here as well.

Thanks,

Avi
