I am a Librarian at a College of Technology. One of our tutors wanted to scan images from a book and use them in Powerpoint presentations. As we were not sure of the Copyright issues (ie taking a print item and storing it electronically) I contacted the publishers (Mansons).

They said ok but want a payment.

Is this normal? If so, what is the "normal" price per image.
