 Accessing internet over a LAN

I've just installed a Wireless LAN between my office and the house (60m) and can now connect (well, sometimes!) to the internet by firing up IE on my office machine and the machine-in-the-house then dials my ISP.

However, I can't find any way to close the connection when I've done with it - short of running down to the house and disconnecting there. Has anybody any ideas?

Incidentally, if anyone is thinking about installing a wireless LAN - beware. You can't believe the specifications on the box - I ended up having to hang the machine-in-the-house out of the bathroom window before I could get any connection.
