I am part of the Intranet Management Team here. Our Intranet is made up of a core web, developed and maintained by our team, and several departmental webs which are developed and maintained by departmental web owners. Currently our team instigates random checks based on our quality control documents and standards for webs hosted on our Intranet. Emails are issued to the web owners which outline the changes that must be made. Despite having news groups and discussion forums on our Intranet very little contact is made between web owners. However, I would like to develop an environment of competition/peer pressure that would positively enhance the quality of the webs whilst involving the web owners. I have several ideas to do this - best webs awards, news items congratualting owners on 'perfect' webs etc. - but I would like to know if anyone has set anything up along similar lines? If so, I would like to know what worked and what didn't, how you set it up etc.

Thanks
