I was just reading an article from Ananova about a new Shakespeare resource due to be launched next week:
http://www.ananova.com/yournews/story/sm_567418.html
It will hold all sorts of research material, descriptions of Shakespeare related collections and projects, relevant libraries and institutions, records and what not.
It's been set up for researchers, students, teachers, performers and any other interested parties. Don't miss their links section. It's really good.
And this all reminded me about a lovely site I came across recently which aims to hold Shakespeare's complete works. Perhaps it seems indulgent of me to review it since I looked at a site that holds his sonnets quite recently, but hey, it's my birthday today.
You'll find several versions of the plays and sonnets, an old spelling version, a version with the original pagination, a printable version and facsimiles. A modern version will be available soon.
OK, there are only a few available with all these versions so far, but this is a pretty substantial project. In the "Annexe" page you'll find links to texts of many other plays. You'll also find a selection of scholarly articles on the great man.
All in all, there's a fair bit of Shakespeare material available on the Web. More than I have time to use. But one day...
Cheers
Simon
