I am looking into the investments of my county council's pension fund and need independent advice on the 'ethical soundness' of the following 10 companies:

VODAFONE GROUP PLC
ZENECA GROUP
BP AMOCO
GLAXOSMITHKLINE
SHELL TRANSPORT & TRADING CO
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND
HSBC HLDGS
HBOS
COMPAQ COMPUTER CP COM
SIGNET GROUP

Any ideas about how to go about this would be appreciated.
