Following the translation tool I looked at last week, here's another variation. This site allows you to search for an exact word, words containing given letters, words ending with given letters and words starting with given letters.
The results you get list the words, their definition, their equivalent in Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish and a sound sample of the word being spoken.
The links page lists all manner of dictionary and word resource, from literature sites and slang dictionaries to crossword dictionaries and foreign language dictionaries, thesauri and translators to etymology sites, lesson plans and quotation resources.
There are a lot of useful things you can do on this site and even more than you can do using some of the links they list. Sadly, though, you can only get five results per page. That's a bit slow when you get several tens of hits, let alone a few hundred.
Other features of the site include a discussion area, daily crosswords, a crossword solver and a word of the week. I hope that's enough to keep those reference junkies happy!
