At http://www.faganfinder.com/invis/ I've assembled some of the most useful invisible web search tools, however they are few and far between. It also includes an overview on the subject and some links.

The reason is that there are different types of invisibility (ie file types, database content, password protected), and different tools try to solve different problems.

My personal favourite is Quigo ( http://www.quigo.com ), which crawls databases. Unfortunately Quigo makes money by including databases, so the index is not that large and with an over-representation of products and services. Still, it can be very useful due to the fact that it uses humans and knows what information is what (ie name of person, title of book, etc).
