I was looking for solid information from a respected authority that can be cited as reference for the growth and *business* useage of social networks.

It's been tricky as there are lot's of articles in general on the web, but I've no idea where they are getting there figures from.

Does anyone know who these authority sources are?
I presume it's some research body that publishes internet statistics each year- but I cannot pin down which ones are actually respected.

For example I read on a website that 2 out of 3 business people in america use networks like myspace, which are for teenagers for business contacts.

I'd like to back that up with some reference from some respected well known, well established internet statistic/research company!

can anyone help !!??
