 Getting stuck on a web-site

Could anyone tell me why you get 'stuck' on some web-pages, i.e. you can't use the 'Back' option and just keep getting refreshed to their home page? Is this something to do with my Explorer settings or is it their html? It is annoying when I can't go back to my search results page...

Thanks,

Ciara
