 FT.com and Nexis

As many of you will know, the FT have announced their intention to bring to an end their reseller relationships with 3rd party aggregaters on 1st April 2008. See http://www.ftadmin.co.uk/version1/FTcontentLicence.html for information.

However they are in discussion with these 3rd parties (such as Nexis) in the hope they will remain channels for the delivery of their content; these channels will therefore still be available for receipt of FT content on the day of publication as part of their digital license.

I would be interested to hear from others who currently subscribe to Nexis and espcially keen to learn what their plans are as regards FT content. Given the terms and conditions outlined on the FT.com website as to its use for commercial purposes, we feel that there are only 2 options open to us; either paying for the licence to access FT.com content, or to take a technological step backwards by copying relevant articles from a print archive under the terms of our NLA licence.
