Can anybody help me specify a WiFi installation?
I want to set up a small wireless network in an apartment to allow
- two laptops to access
o a single broadband point from anywhere within 40 yards within the premises without the disruption caused by cabling.
o A desktop PC acting as print and scanner server and file store
- E-mail/Internet access at public locations without the cost of GPRS.

I expect the broadband (not yet contracted) to come by Telewest cable, both laptops have available PCMCIA slots, a desktop computer with network card is available to act as server.

What other hardware, software and know-how do I need?
How/where can I buy what I need at a good price?
