If any FreePinter has first hand experience of the PRINCE2 project management process developed by the UK Office of Government Commerce, I would be interested to hear from you please.
I have just been on the Foundation course and have very mixed views about a project management system that has 45 processes, but only 1 of those actually executes work on the product or products that is/are the objective of the whole exercise.
Given that PRINCE2 is widely used in the UK NHS, I think I now understand why NHS projects often over-run on time and money . . . and still don't work or improve the patient's lot when completed!
Perhaps someone can convince me otherwise - or suggest an alternative effective and simple project mangement system.
Cheers! |
