I will soon be working on a project in a developing country that seeks to establish a documentation centre using an IT system (already chosen) and based on diverse collections scattered around the country and in various conditions. No staff are trained to handle material. Has anyone has done something similar or if you know of contacts, sources etc as well as any pitfalls to watch out for, particularly in collections management.
