A posting at the VIP Lounge, from someone who has been using Dialog NewsRoom for a few years, describes how the new version of NewsRoom is very restrictive for Mac users:

NewsRoom now requires a minimum of Mac OS10 to run, yet many Mac users are still using OS9. Apparently Dialog did not advise on the minimum system requirements to use the new product. The posting also says that Dialog does not seem to understand that upgrading an operating system is non-trivial and that account has to be taken of other applications which might not run on the latest operating system.
