Folks,

I'd like to throw this out to all of the information 'brains' out there...

There are currently several aggregators for ejournals, e.g. Swetswise, all still currently based on variations on a subscription model.

Google are proposing a service in conjunction with CrossRef which provides a dedicated search in scientific articles, for free, which leads the user ultimately to a payment option for the article they need.

There are also moves afoot for further EU legislation regarding the management of copyright fees by both individual rights holders and collective agencies such as the CLA. The emphasis being digital rights management.

Does anyone have any comments on this area of information delivery, copyright fee management and where the future might lie ?
