Hello all,

This subject was covered in a thread some time ago.

On Wednesday 6th Oct Radio 4 broadcast "Losing the Past" about deterioration of media and consequent loss of recorded data - fascinating. Next Wednesday's programme covers CDs, mp3 files etc.

If you missed it you can use the Listen Again feature, or see http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/losing_the_past.shtml for details.
