Dear FreePint,

I was hoping I could draw on the vast amount of knowlege and experience that was out there - my own is rather limited in scope!

We are a small, specialist information unit providing a service for a team of researchers within a charitable organisation. We've recently identified a need for a current awareness service, and I am trying to identify the pro's and cons of either subscribing to an external information provider, or producing our own. In order to be able to compare, I obviously need to be able to assess external providers, but am having difficulty tracking down providers who are able to meet the information needs of our users. Having just arrived from working in a church library for several years, I'm feeling a bit lost, and can only find services aimed at the academic market (e.g, ZETOC). Can anyone suggest a provider of a CAS which would cover such topics as Environmental science/Ecology/Zoology or similar?

Many thanks

Cathy
