Hi,

I'm looking for some statistics to show what proportion of employers and/or employees do and don't have either the legally required written statements of particulars of emnployment or employment contracts.

It's to settle a debate with an American colleague who wants proof that my asssertion that "almost all" would be covered is correct. I've searched Google and the ACAS site, and came across the legal guidance, but couldn't find and stats or other authoritative statement.

Can anyone point me in tne right direction? (in a similar vein, any pointers toewards a site comparing UK and US employment law practice and philosophy would be useful).
