 Information Science Conferences

I am an information specialist in the policy arm of a countryside agency, and I provide a large amount of low level training and support to about 60 people. Most of my work could be described as: "helping people to get the best out of their computers".

In line with many civil service places of work our training budget has been slashed this year.
To be honest my HR people can rarely find a course for me anyway . .. ..
I've been told that in the cost conscious times I can go to a conference or two instead, but they can't be expensive - i.e. under £30 per day all in! (excluding travel and subsistence)

Can anyone suggest anything that I can spend my meagre training allocation on?

Ideally I'd be looking for one or two day conferences / exhibitions in Wales or anywhere between Leeds and Birmingham (or London at a pinch).
