Changing role of the information professional

I have been asked to write a brief article about the changing experience of the information professional in the scientific industry. The readership of the article will mainly be publishers and those involved with publishing and electronic information dissemination. I was wondering if any of you information professionals out there would like to let me know your views on how things are changing for the information professional in industry (for better or worse) and what this means for publishers and information providers, now and in the future. The deadline is tight - I have to submit the article at the end of the week (10th June), but if you feel that you have something to say, do let me know.

Thanks

Deborah Kahn
