Dear FreePint
Apologies if this seems like an obvious question, but it is not clear to me, and I am looking for examples without success.
I am trying to find out, mainly if by law, Goverment libraries and Information Centres in England have to be open to public enquiries. (Because they are funded with public monies?) : Where is this documented?
Does anyone know if this is the case: I am also looking to answer the following questions:
How does the public find out about the exsistence of goverment department library and information centres? (They do not seem to be visible on the web) : Is this through regional government offices/referrals?
How does the library distinguish between services for it's own internal customers, and external customers?
Is there anyone out there who is working in Government Department/similar libraries who can help?
I would appreciate hearing of your experiences in dealing with public enquiries.
Many thanks
Danni
