 Accidents involving children

I have been asked by a friend if I can help find the following information relating to accidents in the home involving UK children 0 - 5 years.

She is looking for the number of children hurt or injured each year around the home or garden. I guess this will be an estimate because she is not just looking for those admitted to A&E or hospitalised.

Secondly she is looking for the number of children [0 - 5] admitted to A&E or hospitalised as a result of an accident at home including poisoning from garden plants etc.

Thirdly the number of children in the same group who die as a result of being involved in home accidents.

We have looked at various NHS reports but to date nothing so far specifically identifies these figures for the age group in question.

Any leads to appropriate sources or specific figures with references will be gratefully recieved. [and her tutor will be chuffed too]

Regards

Brian
