Apart from the obvious (ASLIB, CILIP, not TFPL as far as I can see) can listees give me any pointers on organisations which can do short (no more than one-day, and half-day if possible) in-house courses on basic enquiry-handling skills for front-desk information officers.
Also, and this is a big ask, if anyone has developed a flow-chart or similar, outlining the processes to be followed in diagnosing an enquiry (any enquiry) would they be prepared to share it?
I'm particularly interested in the field of business information work, but my gut feel is that these skills are generic, so if there's anyone out there from IT, tourism or health information sectors, I'd be delighted to hear from you as well. |
