 Trafalgar Square - how big?

Hello all

I've been trying to find the dimensions of trafalgar square. Apart from a rather casual reference to it being 100 metres per side, I have not been able to find a definite answer. Can anyone help? Either the size within the roads (ie the pedestrian square itself) or up to the surrounding buildings would do, or any suggestions as to who to approach. Many thanks for any help.
Stephen
