I am interested in identifying surveys or market research studies that look at the price of a "basket of goods" as defined by the ONS and then compare the prices of the identified food categories across discount chains and supermarkets.

I have contacted IGD, various Retail Consultancies such as Verdict et al. but I have not seen anything as specific enough.

Any suggestions?
