I would like if some library database expert
could kindly suggest any available software to catalog Journals.
The results should be easily exportable to standard databases,
like MS Access, mySQl, etc.
For cataloguing Journals I mean that each record should be able to store, a part all details about title, publisher, etc. of the Journal itself, also some other table with the details of the issues we have (vol., no., part, month, year), some other table with the ones we would like to have (wants) and another table with the details of the artiles within (author, article title, pages, etc). Kind of:
---------------------------------------------
VishveshvarAnanda Indological Journal
=========================
Vol. No. Month Year
---------------------------------------------
1 1 Mar 1963
1 2 Sep 1963
--------------------------------------------
and
-------------------------------------------------------
Journal of the Ganganath Jha Research Institute
===============================
Vol. No. Month Year
1 1 Nov 1943
1 2 Feb 1944
1 3 May 1944
--------------------------------------------------------
etc.
Or, perhaps, this problem can be solved by setting up a database (I use MS Access) with appropriate tables & fields? How?... I cannot figure out :o{
for which I definitively need your expert advice.
Thank you for your precious time.
