Advice needed please chaps. I run a busy history website (http://www.history.uk.com) visited by around 300,000 researchers each month. We list (free of charge) all UK libraries, archives and a lot more. The resource currently generates more than 50,000 email enquiries each month. My problem is that I need to reach all UK libraries and archives to ask for information about their services, collections etc - how should I proceed given that I don't have any staff to help and don't want to resort to impersonal mass emailings (spam) as these are usually (and quite rightly) binned?
Over to you and thanks for listening - best wishes, Ray
I guess the problem lies (as always) with a lack of funds. We don't make any charge for public access ...
