We're looking at how we can track online advertising simply and effectively, and are looking either at utilising specific software (hopefully freeware!) or perhaps oursourcing to a third party organisation who would do this on our behalf. Our in-house capabilities are good, but we don't have any direct experience.

Anyone got any good experiences?

Depends on your specific needs, but on a large commercial scale level we use RealMedia OpenAdStream. It's a web-based service ...
