I have been given differing advice on this issue recently - so I would apprecaite some guidance.
Is there any obligation on a publicly-funded information service to be able to supply third-party information in a range of accessible formats?
So, for example, COBRA factsheets - if a visually-impared client requests one, is there any obligation on the information intermediary to make arrangements to have one printed in an alternative format, or to provide necessary equipment to enable the client to get the information out of the document, if not actually read it.
Of course, anything published, produced or generated by the service itself would be available in a range of formats ... but that is a different issue.
I would be grateful for Free Pinters' advice and experience. |
