Has anyone researched this subject and can they recommend an insurer?
I will be made redundant within the next few months and some ex-colleagues (the down-sizing has been going for some time) have asked if I will provide the same services I provided within the company to them in their new jobs. I am an information scientist.
Searches on professional indemnity insurance produced many different companies all charging different amounts and asking different questions. None seemed to be geared towards the sort of work I will be doing. Most seemed to be for contractors who have an end-product or for solicitors, accountants, etc.
Any advice on insurance and contract terms for a new start up would be welcomed. I did a course some years ago on starting a new business but that covered subjects common to all businesses eg finance, tax and advertising
