 Spreadsheet to text software

Hi everyone,

I'd be really grateful for any help on this.

I'm starting a research project where I need to organise a list of companies and company details into a basic spreadsheet format with all the normal sorting/filtering possibilities. So far no problem. However, I also need to be able to, at the click of a button, transfer the data about each individual company into an easy-to-read text document, and back again. In other words, the information that would be stored in one row of a spreadsheet would be transferred to a text document so that the column headings become a list down the left hand margin of the page.

The idea is that all this info would eventually go online, so I'm looking for some good looking software.

Does anyone know how to go about doing this?

Thanks very much for listening/reading,

Julia
