“Communicating Business Scientific, Technical and Medical (STM) knowledge”
This is a time of serious debates about the buying power of libraries and information centres, all with mostly
shrinking budgets, while their university boards and management, as well as governments, are questioning the role of
the publishers and their access, archiving and pricing policies. Libraries and information services are shaping new
services and products to their changing user community, which consists more and more of ‘Internet and Google’ literate
users in a global setting at remote spots.
