Middle East/Africa Focus for June's VIP
Comprehensive introduction to resources and specialty products
for business research in economic growth region
VIP's latest issue, published 21 June 2007, offers the business
information world a comprehensive view of content resources focused
on the Middle East and Africa. The 130-page issue offers:
- In-depth review of IFIS from ISI Emerging Markets, a robust online
content product with company information, dealmaker news, research
and insight specific to Islamic financial markets
- In-depth review of Noozz.com, a premium news service of resources
covering the region
- Commentary by Patrice Curtis, a researcher with extensive experience
in sub-Sahara Africa, on business challenges and research variables
affecting the region
- A detailed overview of content from premium content services like
D&B, OneSource, Factiva, LexisNexis and others to serve the needs
of businesses and researchers focused on the region
VIP editor Pam Foster researched and compiled most of the content for
the issue, following requests from subscribers. 'We've received more
and more requests for specific coverage on the region, as it is a
hotbed of growth and economic activity', she says. 'At the same time,
it's a very large region, with a wide range of cultures, languages,
and resources. These are all subject to misunderstandings, which
increases business risk. By providing this detailed introduction to
the business information resources available, VIP can help businesses
reduce their risk through knowledge and access.'
